Lousy Legs

I went through the day doing admin stuff.

Went for a long jog to lakeside... Nearly took my life again... The fumes choked me... I remembered the last time was a sunday... so not so many buses & cars... a lorry caught fire in the middle of the road...

Stopped by Boon Lay Place to buy a water melon on the way back... The flats around Boon Lay Place seems to be locked in some past time zone...

The evening was terrible. I cooked some maggie mee with prawns, crabsticks, pig skin etc and made ice-milo and skinned 5 kiwi fruits. Just when I was ready to eat, the TV gave problem... Upon inspection, I realized my neighours were having the same issue... Checked my broadband -> DEAD. Call STARHUB... Line busy... Got through after like 30 mins... Power Surge??? Service got problem??? When okay -> Dunno?!?!

Furious! I ate my stuff, washed up and still nothing... Can't I get some compensation here? I came back early to relax and I kena stressed...

Slept in the end.

My new Toy

It was such a Hot Sunday!

Spent the afternoon visiting a friend's baby shower... fun...

Made simple dinner of bread with luncheon meat & eggs as I was still full from the buffet celebration...

Spent the night trying to migrate all my contact data into my new phone... Still not quite used to it...

Unfruitful Saturday

Lunch was at an Indonesian Resturants with customers... the place is not bad... can go again...

I remembered someone once said 'Customers' contact time is very impt.'

Hopped by to collect my new phone @ the collection centre. Told me must wait for 2 hrs! I nearly screamed into his face... but thats the problem with 3rd party collection point... I paid up to Starhub... now must face the inefficent 3rd party centre... Problem with this outsourcing....

Anyway dropped by again 3 hrs later and got my phone... Took a cab back... no boycott today as I was carrying lots of stuff... BUT I waited for a TransCab... =p

The train was very empty today... I wonder why... is it because of the bombings that people are staying away? Don't think so? Perhaps its just my timing today...

Popped by NTUC @ Tiong Bahru to buy some chocolates. The vegetables and other food stuff look very fresh... fresher than the ones I always see at Jurong Point...

Afternoon came fast & furious and before I knew it, the team is @ Pizza Hut having Dinner with Yong Jie. This is The Team.

Budget Cuts

Korean Food for lunch. Didn't know pork belly can be so nice...

Breezed through the afternoon...

Came back to prepare dinner. Bacon, eggs, sausages. NTUC bacon are so salty... I have to run to the provision store to get bread... the one i got @ Isetan was just nice... of course the prices are not that nice... anyway, kept some for tomorrow as they are too salty to eat and I am full from eating bread...

Cabs Boycott!

Tuesday, I spend the morning arranging my documents in my harddisk. Its high time i do some housekeeping and put all files into the correct folders and delete away all the non-important ones or duplicate zip files...

Sent some of the photos for printing but the output was not what i expected. Looks good on screen, developed out it looks like $)#(@!#) I suspect the person edited the contrast... Sigh... So what if it cost 25 cents... I think next time, i ask them to leave the editing.

Not much interesting happenings in the afternoon. More housekeeping.


Dinner was at Clementi Hawker Centre with all my favourite food. And its not even $9!

I did my best to boycott the comfort cabs and city cabs. I had never seen so many empty comfort cabs for hire in a while. Looks like I am not alone. Most cabs that were filled are from SMRT, SMART, TransCab, Silver Cabs. There I stood by the side of the road, holding my stuff. Lots of them slowed down but I kept my hands to myself... till I saw a SMRT cab and I flagged it down. Looks like I can carry on doing this for a week. The uncle told me SMRT starts next monday... Then I may have to stick to just Silver Cabs...

Uncle told me not his choice and he still feel that a reduction in rent still better than passing the cost to the consumers coz it will just drive us away... I believe that will happen in the short run... with slow packed trains and buses that do not take you to the place you want unless you change and change bus / train, the demand for cabs are quite inelastic... Uncle also said that if cabbies can't make money (there are news that rental may even go up or diesel subsidy taken away) they just have to return the cab and stop renting them and do other work. At the end of the day, everyone knows where the money goes to. Sigh, that's life.

Did some readings and watched some TV. Life without the magic of World Cup.

Italy are crowned champions again. I guess that this is life. The person, David Trezeguet that destroyed the Italian dream during Euro 2004 had to be the one that missed the penalty. End of World Cup. This implies that normal service has to be resumed soon. No more late nights with food & soccer on Weekdays. No more Soccer Fiesta. Wonder if I will suffer from World Cup withdrawal symptons. What next ? Euro 2008 =)

Back in office, Everyone was talking of the headbutt. Everyone is talking perhaps if Zizou wasn't sent off, France will win. All the talking... guess they forgot no matter what happens to Zizou, David Trezeguet will still take the penalty and missed because he was a sub brought on for penalty shootout... oh well...

Portugal really need a top class striker or maybe even 2. For all the chances they created, none were put away. Good passing all count for nothing against Germany's direct play. Germany's long range shooting i guess is one of the best in this tournament. The swerve on the ball is really no joke.

Tired & sleepy. The game @ nus is called off due to bad weather...

All that awaits now is the Final between Italy & France. Let's hope its a end to end game coz most probably is will be a low scoring game.

Sleepy Saturday

Slept through the day with food in between. Need to stay awake for tonight's Germany vs Portugal match.

Went to Boon Lay Market for dinner. People are not smoking at the seats now... but they are smoking just outside the food center, on the ledge... guess this is a loophole... the wind direction just blew all the smoke back into the food center... This entire place is turning into a mini foreign labour neighourhood...
