Back To Clementi

Had a Meeting @ Clementi Polyclinic today. It was back home for me. Went early to have breakfast @ my usual Mee Pok Place... Usually I don't have breakfast these days @ work... Just a cup of coffee to depressed my hungrer till lunch... Brings back the memories of Clementi... I am still known as AH BOY there. Ha!

Went to stake TOTO before I made my way to the meeting...

I must say Clementi Polyclinic had changed a lot since I last went in 2000. 6 YEARS! Everything so neat and tidy and nice and air con and all that...

3 hrs later...

The Milo Thief

Reached office and realized my storage of 5 packets of milo are stolen. To think I just bought the 6 pack and only drank 1... The thief... got the cheek to clean me out. If you are thinking I am some cheapo who is sore abt losing $3, you are wrong. Its only $3. But its the manner it was stolen that really pissed me off and triggered lots of thoughts...

1) The fella must come into my team cubicle, and took the box which i kept the food and then take it. So I can assume that he / she went through other stuff and did it with intent

2) My guilingao was left untouched. Only Milo was cleaned out. guilingao was all written in chinese. So who can the thief be?

3) If you are thirsty / hungry, I don't mind if u take one. But you took ALL and left none for me... that means you are not taking when u have the need. you take because you are greedy. over $3????? Upbringing issue. Moral Issue.

4) The office is locked by access cards. access cards are meant to keep theives out and to make sure our stuff in the office are safe. So ... think again. access cards in the hands of pple who are greedy and will resort to stealing. Today MILO, tomorrow???

5) Most of the people ( 8 in 10 ) said that the thief is too poor to afford milo, so let him have it la; I can afford it etc etc. This REALLY PISSED ME OFF MORE. When things are stolen, why is it that the main suspect be the POOR? Can't the rich STEAL? TV also show that rich steal millions from the companies too rite? In this ERA, why are we still sterotyping the POOR? Poor People also have backbone and pride. Sigh.

Lunch was out. Went to Standard Chartered... For eSAVER =p

Long Struggle to milestone

It was a long day @ work. Wrote my design, pseudo code and put the actual code in place although it is not completed yet. Thinking is usually the tough part...

Some one was burning those aroma oil... very nice... and even nicer if u just had lunch ^-^ good to zzzzz.
Going to dig out my gifts set and candle to start my own.

Now my 'office', ibm area has
- personal phone (dial in tone not working so I won't know if u call me)
- personal fan
- personal LAN switch (if only we can bring a wireless hub... but it violates the security)
- pesonal food storage place + food that we stock up today for the milestone run in on 22nd Nov
- personal name tags on table

- personal signboard and wallchart
...

IBM mah, have to show customers that we are adquate even if they just leave us to fend for ourselves with 2 tables... and to show customers and other vendors we are organized =p

Went to Anson Road Fuji Xerox (Ex IBM) Building to collect my Nikon S4 from the Nikon Repair Centre...
Looks good... Need to go out and try it out within the 3 mths warranty period...

Had lunch with Mr Boo @ the hawker centre nearby Tanjong Pagar MRT. Crowded Place. If IBM is still here, the location, the food, the people will be nice ^-^

We had 1/2 Roast Chicken.



Wanted to try peanut ice kacang but the Q was too long... started pouring as we made our way back to office @ commonwealth MRT...

Finally 198 came and they boarded the bus. I remembered that they kept telling me to go if my bus has arrived... but what is using 10 mins of my time...

The world we are living in is lacking something... as we pursue our 'dreams' and money and all that crap, we have forgotten why we are humans and not animals in the first place.
